EA has said from the start that FIFA 18 has been “built from the ground up” for the Switch, and earlier this year a representative for the company told Polygon that the Switch version uses a custom engine - not EA Sports Ignite which is used on the PS4 and Xbox One. We wouldn't be surprised if PES 2018 becomes the third choice football game of choice, sitting behind the dominant FIFA 18 console release and this amazing portable option in Switch. Despite FIFA Street not being revealed in quite the way we hoped it might, there has been at least one huge new FIFA 18 reveal from Gamescom this week and that's the first gameplay footage from the! A Twitch stream, which aired Tuesday, showcased the gameplay footage from Nintendo's handheld and it's looking mighty impressive. The FIFA expert then followed this up with some further clarification, telling fans 'it's just something resembling FIFA Street in The Journey mode.' Though slightly disappointing, it's great to see EA Sports making some moves to include some of this great fan service and hopefully it's a sign of what we could maybe expect in future editions. According the footage fans saw online was some sort of FIFA Street mode within the games story mode, The Journey. Although, from the sounds of things, this isn't the same fleshed out experience fans might have been hoping for.
However, one of the games biggest FIFA authority's, known as on Twitter, appears to have cleared up the confusion and in a round-about way confirmed a new FIFA Street mode. For those that don't remember, FIFA Steet was a spin off game from EA Sports which was based on street football and pitted world stars head-to-head on a five-a-side pitch. It was believed that fans might have spotted a new, as yet unannounced FIFA Street mode for the game, after some footage from the German held event appeared to show the game being played at the conference. But there's a catch The isn't currently available just yet, but it is on show at Gamescom 2017 for gaming fans to experience themselves. EA SPORTS FIFA 18 Demo: FIFA Street mode CONFIRMED.
